Following the success of his book project New York, Klein went on to photograph other cities, including Paris, Tokyo, and London. In each case, his images unearthed something essential and previously hidden about these places and their people. After returning to Paris, Klein turned his focus to filmmaking. His notable works include Cassius the Great, Muhammad Ali: The Greatest, and The Little Richard Story. While he devoted much of his energy to film, he continued returned to still photography over the years.
