In 1980, Klein was commissioned by The Sunday Times Magazine to document Soho in in London capturing its vibrant culture, creative history, and role as a site of resistance. This project followed a major solo exhibition at The Photographers’ Gallery in 1978, which celebrated Klein's iconic street photography from the 1950s and ’60s.
