Seascapes focuses on the ocean, a body of water in perpetual motion, both unchanging and ever-shifting. Growing up on the coast of New Jersey, the Starns have always been fascinated by the sea, which serves as a visual metaphor for life’s interconnections, the passage of time, and the physicality of the photographic medium itself. The series captures moments of the sea frozen in time, while simultaneously emphasizing the continuous flow of change.
