The Mandala series is inspired by Buddhist mandalas, which traditionally serve as meditative tools depicting central themes in Buddhism, such as the Wheel of Life or the Map of the Cosmos. Armstrong’s reinterpretation uses abstraction, simplification, and extreme blur to create a context for exploring these profound spiritual themes offering a glimpse into a space of pure colour and radiance.
