In Stephen Inggs’ Landscape work he explores traces left on the land which are visual evidence of millennia of history as well as more recent events, ranging from fossils and Bushman rock paintings to wire fences erected by farmers in the 1800s. In this vast and inhospitable terrain the sense of isolation and solitude is palpable.
