During our William Klein: 100 exhibition, we are delighted to be presenting a special film focus on William Klein in partnership with L'Institut Français Royaume-Uni and Fashion in Film Festival.
Who are you Polly Maggoo?
William Klein took inspiration from his decade-long career as a fashion photographer for Vogue, to deliver a satirical portrayal of the world of Parisian haute couture. In this sumptuous black-and-white film, Polly Maggoo (Dorothy MacGowan) is a top American model in Paris, whose fantasies and pretensions reflect the ongoing disillusionment of the fashion world.
When: Screenings on the 6th of December at 2pm and the 8th of Decemper at 8:10pm
