Blue Spheres

Blue Sphere delves into the symbolic significance of the circle or sphere often representing universality and cosmic concepts together with mystical possibilities of the colour Blue. There is a long art tradition of artists working with blue, from early cyanotypes to Yves Klein’s monochromatic works. Blue, was regarded by Wassily Kandinsky as a colour that awakened the highest spiritual aspirations. By defocusing the spheres, Armstrong de-materializes them and distils them to a create a transcendent form, inviting meditation.
